Joseph was a Great Pyrenees with a gentle heart and a coat like fresh Montana snow. He was patient and loyal, and he was always there. He was a quiet guardian to everyone in the house and, most of all, my best friend.
When I began writing about Wrigley and Turner, there was never any question that Joseph would be part of their world. He is in these stories the same way he is in my heart: steady, kind, and keeping watch.
